Our Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master, accompanied by his Provincial team, which included our Deputy Provincial Grand Master and both our Assistant Provincial Grand Masters, paid a memorable visit to Faith Lodge No. 20 at Middleton Masonic Hall, where a remarkable double father-and-son Advancement took place.
On this special evening, R.W.Bro. John Hartley Smith assumed the chair and delivered an exemplary ceremony, demonstrating not only flawless ritual but also the spirit and warmth that lie at the heart of the Mark Degree. Supported by his officers, he guided both through a moment they will surely treasure for the rest of their lives.
To witness a father usher his son into the Mark Degree is always deeply moving, but to see them both being advanced in the same ceremony was something truly unique. The sense of family – both personal and Masonic – filled the lodge room, reminding all present of the timeless bond the Order fosters. For this father and son, the ceremony was not simply a formal progression, but a shared milestone steeped in love, pride and brotherhood.
The visit also reflects the Province’s ongoing encouragement for Faith Lodge No. 20, which has recently been given new purpose as a special interest Lodge for those with a passion for camping, motorhomes and caravanning. With renewed energy and such meaningful moments already taking place, there is every confidence that the Lodge will continue to grow and flourish.
