After some 110 years in existence Priory Mark Lodge No. 693 held its final meeting on the 3rd December 2025. Many happy evenings were spent at Whalley Masonic Club and whilst we met, we also raised much money for Charites.

Over the years many Charites both National and Local benefited from the members generosity.

The final act was to disburse all remaining funds and to that end, the ELMBF was donated the princely sum of £1500.00 – a donation which will help many people. The members were more than happy to see their money being put to good use.

Happily, the closure of the Lodge also allows all the members to become joining members of Starkie Mark Lodge No. 159, which will meet at Whalley, where we hope to have many more years enjoying our Mark Masonry. So, although it was a reflective day it has ended with some happy events after all, especially the donation to the ELMBF.
