Maintaining their independence

On the 15th March, at Hemsley House, Salford, St Andrew’s Mark Lodge No 34 held their installation meeting. In attendance was VWBro David H Thompson, APGM, and WBro Kevin M Reaney, APGM along with Provincial DC, WBro Wes Merchant, with a further 22 brethren from various Mark Lodge’s.

The IPM, WBro Ken Olive, welcomed all the brethren into the Lodge who was then proclaimed as the Worshipful Master for another year. He then proceeded to invest his officers of the year. The proceedings were ended by 12:20 pm. Onto the social board where 25 brethren sat down to a three-course meal. The raffle raised £120 towards good causes.

Today’s meeting was indeed very important as there were also brethren present from Union Mark Lodge No 32 and Salford Mark Lodge. All 3 Lodges are looking into ways to help keep these fine Mark Lodges going into the future and maintaining their independence, by means of each Lodge attending as visitors and occupying vacant offices at the Lodge meeting. Food for thought brethren as to help each other.
