Congratulations to W.Bro. Geoffrey Howarth, P.Prov.GSW, on celebrating an outstanding 50 years in the Mark Degree – a truly remarkable milestone and a testament to a lifetime of dedication to Freemasonry. 🎖️
Initiated into Temperance Mark Lodge in February 1976, Geoffrey has given decades of faithful service to the Order. He served as Worshipful Master in 1988, as Director of Ceremonies for 21 years, and has received a number of well-deserved Provincial honours over the years, culminating in his appointment as Past Provincial Grand Senior Warden in 2021.

Beyond the Mark Degree, Geoffrey’s wider Masonic journey reflects the same commitment and enthusiasm. He twice served as Worshipful Master of Royds Lodge (including again in his jubilee year), contributed many years as Director of Ceremonies there, and has supported numerous other Orders, always giving generously of his time and skills.
Those who know Geoffrey will recognise not only his loyalty to Freemasonry, but also his quiet dedication and friendship – the perfect example of what steady Masonic service looks like over a lifetime.
Congratulations, Geoffrey, on your Golden Jubilee in the Mark Degree. Wishing you continued health and happiness, and many more years of enjoyable Freemasonry!
