In East Lancashire, we have the ELMBF (East Lancashire Mark Benevolent Fund) our own Provincial Mark Charity who administer and distribute funds raised within the province of East Lancashire and any National donations provided by the Mark Benevolent Fund.

After fourteen years of excellent service, Dennis Scowcroft has decided to retire from the Canon’s Close Managements Committee as Site Manager. It was impossible to persuade, blackmail or tempt him in any way to continue.

Last Sunday evening, WBro Howard Nuttall ELMBF Chairman, WBro Malcolm McCarthy ELMBF Secretary and I made our way to sunny Greenfield in Oldham to attend a “Night at the Movies” Concert given by Boarshurst Silver Band.
